Mac Kitchens designs and builds custom kitchen cabinets for homes across the Lehigh Valley. You work directly with owner Doug MacGeorge, an NKBA Certified Kitchen Designer, who measures your kitchen, designs every cabinet around the room and the way you cook, and sees it through to install. The family has done this in the Lehigh Valley since 1972.
Cabinets built for your kitchen, not pulled from a catalog
With custom cabinets, the room sets the dimensions instead of a catalog. Odd widths, soffits, sloped ceilings and out-of-square walls get cabinets made to fit, not filler strips. You choose the door profile, the finish, the hardware and the storage: pantry pull-outs, drawers sized for what goes in them, and an island that works with how people move through the room.
Some of it built by hand, in our shop
Doug is a woodworker as well as a designer. Some pieces he builds himself in the shop: an island with raised-panel ends, a run of built-ins, a detail that no cabinet line makes. The rest of a kitchen comes from established cabinet makers, built to Doug's drawings. Either way, it's designed and fitted by the same person.
Custom when it counts
Not every kitchen needs cabinets built from scratch. Some of our kitchens are fully custom. Others are built around quality semi-custom or stock cabinets when the budget or the schedule calls for it, still designed by Doug. We'll tell you honestly which one your kitchen needs. Our guide to custom vs. semi-custom cabinets covers how the tiers compare.
